- Account registration: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Google Sign-In: if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile ID from Google's OAuth service.
- Quiz content: questions, options, and scores you create when building quizzes.
- Quiz responses: answers submitted by individuals who take your quizzes.
- Messages: content of messages you send through our chat feature, including vanish messages (which are immediately deleted after delivery).
- Payment information: when you purchase credits, we process payments through Razorpay. We do not store card details — Razorpay handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
- Communications: emails or messages you send to our support team.
b) Information collected automatically
- Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps.
- Device information: device type, screen resolution, and language preferences.
- Usage data: features used, quizzes created or taken, and interactions with the Service.
c) Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze usage. See Section 4 for details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your account and provide the Service.
- Process transactions and manage your credit wallet.
- Send transactional emails (email verification, password reset, quiz result notifications).
- Enable quiz sharing and response tracking for quiz creators.
- Deliver and immediately purge vanish messages as requested.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity.
- Improve the Service through analytics and aggregated usage data.
- Respond to customer support requests.
- Send service updates or policy change notices (not marketing, unless you opt in).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Information Sharing
We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: trusted third parties who assist in operating our platform (e.g., Razorpay for payments, email delivery services). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Quiz respondents: when someone takes your quiz, the quiz creator can see response scores and optionally the respondent's name if they are logged in.
- Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LoversDay, our users, or the public.
- Business transfer: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: required for the Service to function (session cookie, CSRF token). You cannot opt out of these.
- Preference cookies: remember your settings and choices.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how users interact with the Service (aggregated, anonymized data).
You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may impair Service functionality.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage (bcrypt), and HMAC-SHA256 payment signature verification. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately at support@loversday.in if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
- Vanish messages: hard-deleted from our servers immediately after the recipient's polling request retrieves them.
- Regular messages: retained until you or the other party deletes the conversation.
- Quiz responses: retained until the quiz creator deletes the quiz.
- Guest accounts: may be automatically purged after 30 days of inactivity.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@loversday.in.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to certain types of data processing.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
